Year 1 went on an adventure around Brinnington to learn about the features of our Local Area.

We had a long walk and saw lots of things that make our community special.

We created sketch maps and learnt about human and physical features.  

Guy Fawkes came to visit Year 1 for our History project “Why do we remember the Gunpowder Plot”. We had to solve a secret code, retell the events of the Gunpowder plot, created an amazing firework picture and finished with a dance routine from the past!
