Learning
We are very keen to encourage your child more in being able to express their interests and tell us what they like to do/use/play and learn from. Please help us with this and talk to your child’s teacher about what they love to do, and then we can work together to make your child’s time in nursery as fun and as exciting as possible. If you have any ideas for our teaching topics based on your child's interests please pop them onto a post it on our parents board in Nursery.
Book Bags
Your child should bring their book bag and books every Thursday. We will endeavour to change library books on this day, and discuss any achievements that have been recorded by yourselves in your child’s home/school communication book.
Outdoor Clothing
As the weather starts to get cooler please remember that your child will need their coat every day. As the children in Nursery learn outside everyday they may also bring a pair of wellington boots into school to change into when it is raining.
Medals
When your child is at Nursery they will receive medals as part of our whole school rewards system. If they achieve 50 medals in one half term they will be invited to attend a special rewards party to celebrate their hard work and achievement. Each week your child has the opportunity to receive an extra medal for each of these three things:
Bringing their book bag to Nursery on Thursday.
Attending Nursery every day and being on time.
Adding to their home/school communication book.
Nursery Timings
Morning Session:
8.45am-11.45am
Afternoon Session
12.20pm-3.20pm
Please be on time to collect your child to avoid any upset. If you are more than 10 minutes late, please collect your child from the main school office.
Wrap-Around Care
We offer parents the opportunity to buy extra sessions in nursery, as you have been informed about. Please remember to talk to your child’s teacher to check they are happy and settled enough to stay all day, and then book in, and pay for the sessions at the main school office by the Thursday of the previous week.
