Westmorland Primary School’s SENCo is Mrs Elizabeth Garner

I have taught at Westmorland since 2017 before moving into my role as SENCo in January 2023. I have taught since 2008 and have experience of teaching Key Stage 1 and 2 as well as a small specialist SEND class.

I completed the National Award for SEND Coordination in March 2024 and also have a Masters in the Psychology of Education. Both of these qualifications help me in my day to day role. As well as supporting children, parents and staff to ensure needs are met well in school, part of my role is to work with outside agencies who can support children and offer additional guidance to school.
