Year 5
In the Spring term linked to the Anglo- Saxons and Vikings Year 5 visited Weaver Hall a museum in Northwich, Cheshire. We attended and Anglo-Saxon and Viking workshop, where the children learnt about an Anglo-Saxon burial, made their own clay models and listened to stories from Olaf the Viking!
In the Autumn term Year 5 visited Brockholes Nature Reserve as part of our Living Things and Their Habitats topic in Science. We spotted a variety of birds, insects and minibeasts and learnt that Brockholes means "Badger Home"
