Year 1 and 2 had a truly inspiring afternoon with a special Zoom call from Robert Swan, an adventurer and environmental leader!
We followed the incredible story of his journey to the South Pole, where he and his team made history by completing the expedition using only renewable energy—proving that clean energy works, even in the harshest conditions on Earth.
Robert’s message was clear: Antarctica is a vital part of our planet and we all have a responsibility to protect it. It is currently safeguarded forpeace and science, but we need to make sure it stays that way.
How we can help save Antarctica:
Barney taught us that even small actions make a big difference! We learned how we can be Climate Force agents in our own homes and school:
 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Just like Robert used clean energy, we can try to use less and recycle more!
 Saving Energy: Turning off lights and unplugging chargers when we are not using them.
 Looking after Nature: Caring for our local environment and remembering how it all connects to our beautiful planet, including Antarctica.
The children were excited and left the session feeling empowered, realising that they are the next generation of environmental protectors!
