Road to Rio Competition Winners
Stockport Plaza!
As Part of our Road to Rio celebrations, Westmorland took part in a competition to create a poster which promoted the values of the Olympics and Paralympics.
This competition was held throughout the whole of Stockport. We were lucky enough to have three runners up from our school!
The three lucky children were invited to Stockport Plaza on Thursday 14th July after school to pick up their award. Each child received a medal and certificate. They were asked up on to the stage to collect these, whilst their poster was shown to the rest of the audience.
We also got an extra special surprise when we were awarded a trophy for our 'Commitment to High Quality PE'. Well done to Mrs Grey for her fantastic PE lessons throughout the school.
