Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome to the second half of the spring term, who would have thought that we would be having snow and icy temperatures and we are nearing the month of March.
It is with the bad weather in mind that I remind you to wrap your children up warm for school, ensure that they have sensible shoes, a coat, gloves and a hat. Should you wish for your child to come to school in wellies please ensure they also bring their school shoes as the underfloor heating plays havoc with their feet if they wear wellies for the full day.
As a support, during this snowy period, I have asked the team here to open the school doors from 8.45am so that neither you nor your children are waiting around on the cold yard.
After school sports clubs will still run during the snow but will be held indoors.
During the snowy period please keep an eye on the school website each day, in the unlikely event that I have to close the school I will post this information on the front page by 7.30am, www.westmorlandprimary.co.uk
To help our school run smoothly both now and after the great snow… please make sure that you;
Your help and co-operation with the above is greatly appreciated.
In other news, Thursday this week is World Book Day, I know the staff have a great day full of reading activities planned, remember your children are invited to dress up as their favourite character, whilst not compulsory it helps makes the day extra special.
Thanks for your continued help and support, I will write again soon.
Kind regards
