17th June 2020
In line with Governmental instruction and following our delay in re-opening to specific year groups because the infection rate was above 1. I am now able to publish a timetable for a phased re-opening of specific year groups for families that may want to send their children back to school before the end of the summer term.
On the 22nd June the year 6 bubble opens. For safety and organisational reasons this is a part time, reduced hours timetable operating on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd June between 10 and 1pm. The timetable and hours for the following week will be announced on the 23rd of June.
Wc 22nd June EYFS and year 1 bubble opens. This is a part time, reduced hours timetable operating on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th June between 10am and 1pm, the timetable for the following week will be announced on Friday the 25thJune. Only Year 1 children who have already applied will need to attend.
Reception. We hope to offer places to Reception children on a part time basis in early July, providing that it is safe to do in the spaces available. We will provide more information about this nearer the time, in this ever-changing situation.
Key worker children. Those who are already attending the key worker bubble should attend through their nominated door as usual, they will not be able to transfer from their key worker bubble back into their year group when it becomes available.
A member of the school team will be in contact with you if you have already expressed an interest in your child attending either of these bubbles, they will confirm routines that must be adhered to on site in order to keep everyone as safe as we can. In order to maintain appropriate staffing levels in the bubbles children must be booked in a week in advance to book now for week beginning 29th July , if you want to consider your child having a place for the last few weeks this can be done by email or by calling the school.
If you have chosen to continue helping your children at home until September or you child isn’t in the specified year groups above, we will continue to support you with home learning.
The vast majority of parents have already informed us that they will continue to educate their children at home for now using the work packs supplied by the school and use the email system each week. You should email one piece of your child’s work each week. We will support you in any we can to help your child learn at home.
We will maintain contacts with you and we will increase contacts with your child via email or telephone.
In the next few weeks we will write to all parents and carers to let you know who your child’s class teacher will be next year and if possible provide opportunity for your child to meet them so they are not worrying about their next class or where they will be in September.
Thank you for your continued support
