Food Provision and Holiday Hunger
Stockport Council are committed to ensuring residents have the help and support they need this winter.
We are delighted to announce that families of school-age children who are eligible for income-based Free School Meals will receive a £30 voucher per eligible child to help with the costs of food, utilities and other essentials this winter.
This will complement the amazing work our local communities and businesses are doing to support this important issue.
You do not need to do anything to apply and will automatically receive a voucher for any child for who you have claimed income-based free schools meals. You will receive an email from Pay Point with your voucher code.
The email you receive from PayPoint will have a subject heading of ‘Cash Out Voucher’. Where we hold multiple email addresses for you the voucher code will be sent only to the primary email address we hold for you.
Included in the email will be a bar code. Either print or take your mobile device to one of the PayPoint outlets across the borough. Upon presenting the voucher, the cashier will provide the appropriate cash value. Please note that the vouchers must be redeemed within 21 days from the date of the email. Failure to do so will invalidate the voucher.
A list of outlets can be found on the PayPoint website: https://consumer.paypoint.com/. It is recommended PayPoint vouchers are redeemed at larger stores where possible to ensure funds are available.
In redeeming this voucher you commit to use the money received for the intended purposes which includes the purchase of food, utilities (fuel, water and sewerage) and other winter essentials including hygiene products, warm clothing and household equipment).
