Visit to Petty Pool Outdoor Centre

The Rotary Lamplighters Club provided the funding for a super day at Petty Pool Outdoor Centre in Northwich on Thursday 31st March.  28 children and 3 teachers from Year 5 went to the centre along with Rotary members Linda, Marjorie, Bill and Mary.

The group took part in orienteering in the woods, climbing on the climbing wall (not the Rotarians) and the zip wire which travelled at 30 miles an hour.  One of the Rotarians took part in the zip wire.    Marjorie was putting on the gear  for a photo, when the children got excited thinking she was having a go.   Petty Pool said she was the oldest person ever to try the zip wire!

All the children, and everyone involved had a wonderful day and surely it will be a day none of them will forget.   Many thanks to Stockport Lamplighters for giving the children such a wonderful opportunity.
