By working in partnership with the school to ensure your child’s happiness, success and confidence through making sure homework is completed.
Parents in School
Parents are always welcome at Westmorland.
It is well accepted that children make better progress when parents and teachers work together and decisions are shared.
Parents of children coming into the reception class are invited to a meeting to meet staff and look around the school.
Parents help in the classroom is always appreciated. If you can help you will be required to undertake a police check
Parents are invited to class assemblies, to view children’s work, to coffee mornings and other events. These give opportunities for class teachers and parents to build relationships together.
Parents Evening & Consultations
You will be invited to two parents’ evenings per year. (It is important that you attend). If you cannot make the appointment time please ask for a more convenient time. We will attempt to accommodate your wishes.
Things to consider before the Consultation Evening.
You will receive a written report each year. If you would like more than one copy please let us know.
When can I look at my child’s work?
You can view your children’s workbooks following class assemblies. Please try to attend. If you are unable to attend and would like to see their work please ask the class teacher if you can have a look.
