Miss Adshead's Class Assembly

A big thank you to all Parents and Carers who attended Miss Adshead's class assembly. It was great to see so many of you in school and looking at the children's hard work.
We collected Parent/Carer feedback on the day and here are some of the comments:

Mrs Lovett's Class Assembly

A big thank you to all Parents and Carers who attended Miss Lovett's class assembly. It was great to see so many of you in school and looking at the children's hard work.
We collected Parent/Carer feedback on the day and here are some of the comments:
 
'Very impressed with the information the children have been learning. My favourite part of the assembly was listening to my daughter read.'
 How could we improve the overall experience? 'Maybe with better sound'
 'Really enjoyed being able to see what the children are learning.'

 'My favourite part was the children talking about all the facts they have learnt. An excellent assembly.'

 What did you see that was good and why?

  • Involvement of parents in learning and decision making progress.
  • Strategic teaching methods
  • A model of critical evaluation of learning process namely: maths, reading and writing targets.

 

'I saw how my child has improved with confidence.'
 'I think my child has come on leaps and bounds and I am very impressed with the teaching my child has had and would like to say a big thank you to her teaching staff.'
 'I wouldn't change anything, it was just fantastic to see the children singing and doing the sign language.'
 'All the children worked really hard to put on a fantastic assembly. I would change the assembly to other days in the week.'

Miss Chadwick's class assembly

 

We had a wonderful turn out for Mrs Chadwick's class assembly on Thursday 5th February 2015. The children wowed us with their impressive knowledge about artist LS Lowry. Thank you to all of the parents and Carers who attended, here is some of the feedback we received on the day:

Thank you to all parents and carers who attended Miss Adshead's class assembly on Thursday 22nd January 2015. It was lovely to see so many of you!
 
We have had some great feedback about the morning. Here are some of the comments we received:
 
'They were all great. It was great to see my child sat on his own - very proud!'
 'My favourite was the singing and the dancing and seeing how far my son has come.'
 'I liked it all, but would like to see more dancing and singing. Congratulations!'
 'I enjoyed every single bit of it especially the singing, I thought the children did fantastic. Don't think you could improve it. Thanks for inviting me, I really enjoyed it.'
 'My favourite part was the signing and when the children said what they wanted to be when they get older.' 
'It was nice to see what the children have been learning.'

It was great to see so many parents and carers attending Miss Holt's class assembly on Thursday 15th January 2015. The children wowed us with their fantastic story 'Baa Baa Baby' and told us all about what they wanted to be when they grow up!
 
Here is some of the feedback we received:
 
'It was lovely, all the children were ace. Lovely to see the progress that my child has made, very proud!'
 
'It was brilliant and I really enjoyed it'

Year 1/2 SB/HH Class Assembly

Thank you to all the Parents and Carers who attended the Year 1/2 class assembly on Thursday 8th January 2015. It was great to see so many people attending.
 
Feedback on the day included:

Lovely but we would like a little bit more notice'
'Great they have been learning a lot! It was good to hear what they were saying with the microphone. Loved the pictures in the background.'

A big thank you to all of the parents, carers and grandparents who attended school to see our Christmas performances for Early Years and Key Stage One. The children put on super shows and worked very hard to learn their lines and songs.

These are some of the comments made by parents:

  • ‘The performance was outstanding! I thought all of the children looked stunning. A lot of time and effort! A credit to all staff who created a brilliant Christmas play. Well done really enjoyed.’

The children and staff enjoyed their visit to St Luke’s church this week. It was great to see so many parents, carers and grandparents attend the performances.

Here is some of the feedback we received on the day:

  • ‘It was lovely, especially allowing all of the children to take part.”

  • ‘A good mix of songs and talking (explaining the birth etc). Nice to see all of the children from school attending.’

  • ‘Brilliantly beautiful, wouldn’t change a thing’

  • ‘Brilliant! Well done to all of the children and most of all the teachers for having so much patience with all the children. Well done Westmorland!’

  • ‘It was wonderful to watch all of the children perform with such confidence and to use sign language too. It would be nice to practise at home, so if the words to the songs could be sent home with copies of the actions it would be good.’

  • ‘Performance was really good. Very clear speaking too’

A huge thank you to all parents and carers who attended our Parent’s Workshop on Tuesday 18th November 2014. It was fantastic to see so many adults in Reception, working with children and taking away tips and guidance on how to help your child to read.

 

 

We had some great feedback about the day:

  • ‘Very good. Lots of different things to do and I also learnt lots of things I could do at home.’
  • ‘Excellent idea. Great to see Dylan’s progress and ideas to use at home.’
  • ‘I thought it was a great idea and was lovely to see what Maisie does in school.’
  • ‘Amazing, it’s lovely to see all the hardwork and patience that the teachers give to the children and how they approach different activities.’
  • ‘It was great to come in and see how the children learn and give me ideas on how to do other games and activities to help my son. It was also great to see how well he is doing. ‘
